Sunset 4.31pm

Yes - we got wet! A quick blast around the circuit and some dramatic rays towards sunset. A marathon mince pie session (3rd batch since son#1 has been here), a final clean and now we wait for the arrival of Son#2 and his girl Simone. They are currently adrift on the Irish Sea. The good news is that the seas have subsided to rough rather than very rough though I fear there might be gales on arrival. They then have a four drive to reach us and are expected around midnightish. Urgh, my worst nightmare but I think they both have better sealegs than me.
Talking of nightmares, I woke up with a jolt this morning having been dreaming that I had to read a eulogy at a recently deceased friend's funeral. That was bad enough but when I turned up in what looked like a hall full of WI ladies (hats), it was not the friend I was expecting but someone I couldn't remember a thing about! The projector packed in (don't know why there was one); the lights failed and things fell off the walls. Finally a Mass started up in the church next door and was relayed into the hall drowning out my increasingly panicky attempts to mutter something Chaos.
