A welcome sight

Just missed one at 15:40 and this was the next one, bang on time at 15:55.
I don't often use the bus but now I've got a pass it's so much easier than taking the car and finding somewhere to park, which is a lot worse at the moment of course.

Very busy day today, not so much for me, I only made two big slabs of single layer carrot cake ready for Christmas Eve, but Marlane has been going most of the day. 3 Quiche bases to be made, load of mince pies, profiteroles and chocolate sauce, all made from scratch. Much of the meatball soup is already prepared and the ham is in to soak (to get rid of as much of the salt as we can).
Julia made a spinach dip and cut up the crudites that can be made in advance (not cucumber or peppers as they go soggy!).
Looking forward to Christmas Eve as every year we have a house full of family and friends, far too many really as it usually means we are up until around 01:00 cleaning up before we can go to bed before Santa turns up!
