A long day...on the shortest day of the year

I was up at 5am to get ready to leave home by 6am for the airport. In fact I was awake since 2.30am with a bit of a temperature as I have not been feeling too well these past few days. Some viral cold and sore throat thing going on, just when I don't need it!

Our flight was delayed by an hour (they never knew it would take so long to get the plane back from the maintenance hangar!) and so we were running late all day. We all dozed in our chairs at the airport, until I saw the beautiful sunrise, although it was through a very dirty airport window (see extra).

We did not have time to stop for photos so this was taken through (another) dirty car window whilst driving so don't look too closely at this image.

The boys loved the new apartment, which they had not seen since we had some minor renovations done to it. It has been a very long day and I am not feeling great so I am not sure I will be going up the mountain with the others tomorrow morning, I will see how I feel.
