Dana and I have been dealing with the puppy vs Christmas tree question in creative ways. We chose to erect a fence. around ours. And we put all the other decorations inside the fence as well. We'll take down the fence and liberate everything before our party for the neighbors on Saturday.

Dana went out in the pouring rain to cut a tree and sent a picture of Jim standing next to it  looking very small. Later, she came by to return the boots and borrow a saw. A couple of days later we had the following exchange:
Me: "Does the tree fit in your living room?"
Dana: "Not yet…."

Last night when I asked if it was decorated yet she said, "No, I've been at Peter's game…."

And she was the one who suggested that I put the tree outside this year….
