Tiny Tuesday : : Christmas

My parents gave OilMan and me this little crèche made in Peru for our first Christmas. The manger fits nicely on a quarter. I love the (oft mended) little figurines and their sweet faces.  They do remind me that there is a story (other than too many presents, too much food and too much stress) behind  the holiday.

The sharp sighted among you might notice the band of the (really tiny) pirate's eyepatch on the baby Jesus, put there by son Tim when he was in middle school, and was (and still is) a diehard Raiders football fan. We're a pretty secular lot here. I''d be very happy with the "peace on earth, goodwill toward man part….
