More festive fun
Another festive treat today. I went to the the TYNESIDE CINEMA in Newcastle to see " Its A Wonderful Life ". Really enjoyed it. Seen it on TV but never on the big screen.
The Tyneside Cinema is the UK’s last surviving newsreel theatre to still be operating as a cinema full-time. It has been restored to preserve and celebrate the grandeur of its original 1937 Persian palace-inspired design. I must admit that I have never seen a film at this cinema before. Been there a few times for food but that's all. Todays film was shown in The Classic auditorium - the largest space in the cinema which was originally the News Theatre. There is an interesting heritage DISPLAY CASE containing different projectors and other cinema related items.
Came straight home after the film. Neil arrived at almost the same time. He is staying the night.
