Garuda

I've spent most of the day checking all the linen, washing and de-staining the items that could be salvaged.from the airing cupboard disaster.

Between the loads of washing I've been sorting out my Myanmar photos and have started my book.

In one temple in Inwa there were some Garuda carvings - apparently the Burmese King had won a battle against the Thais and As this mythical bird was part of Thai culture, it was incorporated into the temple. I didn't know it was also Thai - My Garuda carving came from Indonesia - Mr C bought it for me in 1969 when we lived in Hong Kong,

I've still not tackled Christmas cards.
