Turtles

On the way home from my weekend away, I stopped at the Francis Beidler Forest just to see what I could see on the nature trail, which is a wooden boardwalk,  a mile through the swamp.  It is a part of the Four Holes Swamp area of South Carolina.   I am sure in the spring the area is full of birds and other critters,  like water moccasins and rattlesnakes but I only saw 2 turtles ( and some turkey buzzards flying overhead).   

There were very few people there..the silence was amazing.
