Morning sun on the cotton field

I traveled down to toward the coast yesterday and passed by many fields where cotton was still waiting to be harvested.   Isn't it amazing that this little while ball will be a shirt or something!   How did someone ever think to make cloth from this?     I do love to see the fields of white.   I also know in the spring, cotton has a very beautiful flower on the plant.  I will try to remember to go back in the spring when the blooms are there.
