Ooo La La

Slept well, up with the alarm clock as we were off out early to walk to the local train station, 30 mins quick march, then onto the mainline station in Wigan, and all aboard the Manchester Christmas Market train :-)'

Had a lovely wander, some fabulous smells wafting about, then we met up with our friends for lunch at Carluccios. Treated ourselves to a couple of goodies from their deli too!

Then another leisurely wander through the many stalls and market areas, bought some fabulous cheeses, before we decided it was time for a rest and a mulled wine, topped off with cognac, served to us by these delightful French ladies :-)

Left home at 9 this morning and arrived back not for off 8 these evening.

Had a thoroughly enjoyable day, even managed to get the last three little bits of presents I was missing :-)

I think it's time we tried our Pork and Turkey and cranberry topped pie now ;-)
