A plethora of puddles

That's what we have around here, and no end to the rain yet.  Very thankful for every drop though, after the months of drought conditions.   And the wind has died down.
As I predicted, we lost power yesterday, just as our neighbour was about to put on the coffee pot.  We visited by candlelight for just over an hour and then the power came back on.  It was so dark, even with the lights on, and the huge trees close to their house were dancing wildly in the wind.  This morning I was talking with the young woman who bakes delicious bread and goodies at the Merc, and she just came back to work after a few days of holidays.   Not what she was hoping for though, because a huge hemlock crashed down on their porch, took out all the power lines, and they were without power for eight days.  Yikes!
