The brilliant reds of poinsettias (called Noche Buena here) have popped up all around the city - in doorways, window sills, rooftops, porches, and they line the planters in the zócalo (main plaza). Temporary tents for selling them have also popped up, and as we walked home from buying ours, we noticed a narrow street we've never seen before. Wonderful murals and brightly painted houses created such a cheerful neighborhood!
That's a wild poinsettia peeking over the wall.
