Berwick Bridges

Domestic chores to start the day while MrM went off to learn a bit more about red squirrels. Then a shopping trip in Wooler - managed to do a lot of our Christmas shopping locally this year. Bought some rather lovely mugs this morning designed and made by local craftspeople.

Quick bite to eat before MrM and I went to Berwick for some essential provisions and a bit more Christmas shopping. We parked outside the town centre and walked in over the Old Bridge. Took this shot from the bridge on the way back to the car as it was getting dark. The Christmas lights had just come on on the Royal Tweed Bridge and, beyond it, the lights under the arches of the Royal Border Bridge were changing colour. 

Planning to decorate the Christmas tree this evening, accompanied by a glass of red and, maybe, some festive music!
