An evening visitor
We were given (by daughter J; an occasional blipper as Jesafly) a bird feeding table to hang in one of the pohutukawa near the deck of the Beachhouse. Originally it had plaited rope, and over the winter that rotted and broke. About six weeks ago, I replaced it with green washing line, which may be somewhat more durable.
We have not been here regularly enough nor often enough to expect birds to know that here is where there be treats (and water). However, we had a few visitors last weekend (first time here in a month) and today a greenfinch joined the more adventurous sparrows.
I was sitting inside with my leg up as advised, and took a series of photos through the glass of the folding doors. This I am especially pleased with.
Little else done today but resting, reading and a bit of sorting of photos. That task, though, is rather overwhelming.
