Chaos and Calm

HOLD ON, GROMIIIIIIIIIIIT!!!

Monday. School holidays. Moody, easily bored child home. Horrendous weather. What could possibly go wrong when these things are combined?
Just about everything.
But, I actually had a pretty darn amazing Monday. *gasp*

A friend of mine who is an honorary little brother to me is like an uncle to Master Five Year Old, wanted to do something fun for the three of us. We were going to head to Melbourne Zoo, but it's just too cold for that. So we went to Scienceworks - a science museum.

I won't lie - underneath the tattoos, piercings and artsyfartsy exterior.... I am an uber geek. Toby is an even bigger uber geek. And Scienceworks is nerdporn. We knew MFYO would have a fun with all the bright lights, interactive things and everything else... But really, we were being completely selfish.

Making it all the more selfish, there was a Wallace and Gromit exhibition... I LOVE WALLACE AND GROMIT. I don't even have words for how much I love them. I was fairly young when I first saw them in 'A Grand Day Out', and ever since then... Love. There was a whole lot about their inventions which was interesting. Levers with flashy lights EVERYWHERE, which appealed to MFYO... But what got me were the models and sets. I got up close and personal with Wallace and Gromit. All that was between them and I was a bit of glass, six inches (at most), and my camera.

I got a whole bunch of photos of them in different sets (this being my favourite), and it was nice to take photos of characters I've loved for well over a decade, and be doing it for FUN on my own time instead of taking photos for work... Factor in the fun that Toby, MFYO and I had in general....

Amazing day.

Mondays are going to have to work hard not to be completely shite after today's result.

Suddenly I feel like a midnight snack.
Might have some cheese and crackers.
