Museum Tower

My partner has yet another craft fair, this time at Greyfriars Kirk. As I got the bike ready for Sunday's Spokes Ride on Friday, I have time to do the household chores and get my haircut. The weather is still pretty wild from Storm Desmond. The rain has relented for the time being.

After lunch, I head down for moral support (and for one of the nice home made cakes sold during the craft fair). Opposite to the Kirk is the tower of the National Museum of Scotland in Chambers Street. The rain has brought out the colour in the stonework.

My partner does quite well, and sells quite a few things in the afternoon.

I do get my cake, caramel shortbread, and I buy four more to bring home. These are big portions, the four bits weigh over 730gm. And it tastes delicious.

Towards the end of the craft fair, I decide to also take a photo of part of the excellent organ in the west of the Kirk. It is added as an extra photo.

On the way home, the rain is beginning to get quite heavy. I am glad to get in. I hope it stops for tomorrow's bike ride.
