Flocking

Having commented yesterday that I've not seen a curlew I saw one today. No photo because I didn't have my camera out and had I got it out I'd have found that I hadn't put the memory card back in it which meant getting the spare out of one of the pockets and fitting it and I couldn't have done all this in the biting wind - I sorted the card once I got to a hide.

This shot is pretty much as I saw it. The colour is because I was shooting towards the sun which was behind some clouds to the left of the shot. I think that the birds are a mix of golden plovers and lapwings but identification wasn't easy because everything was in silhouette.
