For the colour

Lichen is such beautiful stuff and in its element right now (aren't those little circles fruiting bodies?).  Freyjad blipped some wonderful peppermint lichen yesterday and today I found this vibrant mustard variety.  I especially like it with the pale blue sky and the  hawthorn berries, which are still red but slowly blackening as the frost nips them.

So a simple shot, chosen for the colours, to represent my busy day.  It was taken just down from here by the stream.
