Norman has a Visitor...

Stanley the Guinea Pig is staying with us for 3 weeks while his owners are away on holiday. Norman has never met Stanley, and this was their initial introduction: soon after Stanley arrived, we put his cage next to Norman's (both locked) to see how things went.

All being well, we let Norman out of his cage after a while to get to know this visitor to his territory. Here we see the initial stages of this process.

Soon after this, Norman got annoyed - with us rather than with Stanley, we think - and started banging his foot. But after moving Stanley's cage to the opposite side of the living room to Norman's, things improved markedly, and by mid-afternoon Norman was stretched out, seemingly quite relaxed about it all. Stanley stayed in his own cage all day today.
