Yesterday Today and Tomorrow.

This little Brazilian shrub has just started flowering in our garden. Brunfelsia latifolia is commonly known as "Yesterday Today and Tomorrow." When a bud bursts into bloom it is a lovely deep shade of purple. The next day it has faded to lilac and by the third day it has become almost white. So all through its long flowering season it will have those three colours all at once brightening a corner of our garden. Pale blue delphiniums is in the corner of this image.
