A Mass Jim, but not as we know it!

First rehearsal of the Leicester Bach Choir following the stunning and stupendous performance of the Bach Mass in B Minor last Saturday.

So what are we rehearsing for the Spring concert? Rossini's Petite Messe Solonnelle, which I've never done before. I was surprised to hear the accompaniment. Rossini's background was in Opera Buffa. He carried it over into this piece of sacred music, but I'm sure it will sound fine.
