A half decent day
It has been a productive day.
SCHARP are a great little organisation that run a very effective system of trying to monitor all sites of historical interest on the Scottish coast. To that end they flag some sites with a red dot indicating that they are at real risk from erosion,. Today two of us went around North Uist looking at those sites and will be entering updates on their website.
It promised a lot but the sun refused to stay. The clouds resolutely stayed stuck to the Western edge of the isles all day and never seemed to shift. The sunset was probably the best moment.
Actually no, on reflection the best bit of the day was the well earnt pint in the Westford Inn on the way back from our surveying. Simple pleasures.
