Bottle Candelabra

There are rather more than ten green bottles in this large piece of modern sculpture made entirely from wine bottles.  There is a pair of these standing either side of the main drive approaching the main entrance to Waddesdon Manor house front - the blip shows just the base of one..  Now the lights are on, the glow shining through the bottles is very pleasing.  The actual Manor house is bathed in light of various shades as a son-et-lumiere shows from time to time.

I volunteered to act as a 'tail' to a guided tour this afternoon and went in a bit early to put leaflets into envelopes to help out the marketing department - when i want a favour then they will oblige if possible. Waddesdon is a great community.

I am in again tomorrow for normal room warden duties and will also take a few pictures for marketing of the Christmas Fair which is coming to an end on Sunday. I need to do this around .30 when all the lights are on and there are plenty of people around.  It's late night opening until 7 so will be busy.
