Just hanging in there

It rained again today which is absolutely lovely as it is a soft gentle rain.

By climbing on a chair and hanging out the window I was able to capture the drop on this tiny seed head in the middle of a fuchsia bush without getting me or the camera wet. I should have waited,  as it cleared up mid afternoon. There is a lot I am not happy with about the shot but it is like a sauna outside now and I cant be bothered trying again.

The seedhead is very tiny - about the size of my little fingernail - and the red dot in it is a fuchsia flower reflected.
It reminds me of a light bulb hanging down like you used to see in older homes with high ceilings.
