The advent calendar is up, and is full of chocolates - well, it was but number 1 is empty now lol!

I'm still struggling with the side effects of Thursday's chemo and haven't been in work. Yesterday I felt so bad that I phoned the oncology unit and they told me to go in so they could do a blood test and check me over. Everything came back clear although it seems I'm fighting a cold as well, so I'm just taking it easy and hoping it passes soon. The only way I can describe it is like a very bad dose of flu where all your muscles and bones ache.

Unfortunately I can't have a soak in the bath as we don't have one - I never thought I'd miss it (we have a walk in shower), but a shower just isn't the same when you feel like this!

Anyway I was chatting to my lovely friend Alison this morning - she's on holiday in Thailand, and she leaves a key for a girl to go and feed the cats, so she told me where it is and said to feel free to go and have a bath at hers. I did and it felt wonderful - thanks Alison! xx
