-          I read on the internet it is a genus that was names after the Greek goddess of youth, Hebe
-           The majority of Hebe shrubs are native to New Zealand.
 
 
Thank you for the lovely comments, stars and hearts for New Zealand’s native butterfly. The colours at this stage are bright, fading as the butterfly ages.
 
New Zealand’s Red Admiral resembles the European Red Admiral, but the European variety lacks the blue centred eyespots of our NZ endemic butterfly.
