A Very Special Dinner
It's just a few minutes before midnight -- well past my usual bedtime.
Cynthia and I just returned from a very unusual and enjoyable event --The Last Meal of Calouste Gulbenkian. It was an eight-course meal accompanied by wine, cider, mead, poetry, music, and dancing. Luckily for me (and for you), Cynthia has written a detailed advance description in her blip, so I don't have to burn any more midnight oil telling you all about it.
I'll just say that every aspect of it was wonderful, and be off to my bed. We've got another concert to go to tomorrow. I can't keep up this pace much longer.
