Advent Candle

Today is the first Sunday in Advent. Advent is a season observed in many churches as a time of expectant waiting and preparation for the celebration of the Birth of Jesus at Christmas. Many churches use Advent candles and light one every Sunday until Christmas.
One of my favourite hymns for this special time of year is .... 'O come, O come, Immanuel' but sadly, it's not one we often sing in our church
