inspired by a June rose
It's the last day of June today. The end of my birthday month. I'm hopeless at looking after roses but I love looking at them in other people's gardens. They have had a tough time of it this year, with all the rain and wind.
I think the weather has been more suited to moisture loving candelabra primulas. I have just come home with a wonderful specimen - a gift from Sheila. It has a wonderful perfume, and is so tall that you hardly have to bend down to smell it!
I have planted it in the centre of my new bog garden. I hope it will be as happy here as it obviously was in Sheila's garden.
