2015 Thursday -- Thanksgiving

Several weeks ago we were quite unsure where we would be on Thanksgiving Day. There was a possibility that the progress of the remodel on our beach shack would have the place unaccessible to us if the front porch and stairs were demolished and the new had not yet been completed, and that is exactly what has happened.

So, a few weeks back I had made reservations at the lovely Ragged Point restaurant on the extreme south end of the Big Sur Coast and I also had made reservations at the historic Mission Inn in Riverside, the city east of our southern California home.

Last week we learned that our beach shack would not be accessible, so today we are in Southern California enjoying the warmth and festivities of the Mission Inn. We look these selfies while sitting in the Presidential Lounge, waiting for our four o'clock dinner reservation time to arrive.

The Mission Inn is a celebration place for us with lots of grand memories, so being here is wonderful.
