Mabel waiting for her share of the pie

Emmy baked pies for Thanksgiving dinner, and we brought pies too. We had almost as many pies as people! Obviously, Mabel (the English sheepdog pictured) is willing to help with the extras. Because Emmy makes excellent pies,  I will just bring one pecan pie next year. (I'm the only one who likes pecan pie. One pie, just for me...yum!) 

We enjoyed a wonderful family time together at Alison and Mike's home with two daughters and sons-in-law, two grandchildren, and two dogs. After the meal, other family members in Arizona, Memphis, and New York City joined us via Skype and FaceTime. The wonders of technology! It was a delightful day with so much for which to give thanks.
