Booted Out

These are my new wellies.
Please don't adjust your picture. Yes, they are silver. And yes, they have a rainbow interior.
My previous wellies must be about 30 years old, and are starting to look a bit worse for wear. We saw a sale advertised, of the late publishing millionaire Felix Dennis's small items and paraphernalia. The items were from his various houses all over the world, and many  of the things were brand new. Felix Dennis died earlier this year. He lived in Warwickshire, not that far away from our village. In the 1990's he started to plant trees, and since then his charity has planted some 1,800 acres of native broadleaf forest, much of it very near to us.  Have at look at this link to read about it. 
Most of his large and expensive items were sold at auction on August, but for a few weeks smaller household things and odds and ends are now being sold off. We visited the sale today, and I came away as the proud owner of these virtually brand new pair of silver Hunters.  My millionaire wellies in more ways than one.
