Lucky Wasp

It rained all morning, I made jewellery. By midday rain had stopped so I went for a quick walk "around the block" and down part of the lane. Day 1 exercise done!
It was a dark and damp afternoon, I was making a fire and had just put a log on the fire when I noticed a queen wasp groggily coming out of the log, grabbed my asbestos glove and tried to get her out of the grate, she landed on the carpet and looked stunned. Popped her into a plastic pot and took her into the kitchen to recover, photo is of her giving herself a wash. When she was fully recovered I put her outdoors in a flowerpot - so glad she didn't get burnt!
