One year ago today, I was getting ready to leave for my C-section and was insanely nervous. And in my panic of the morning, I can remember looking up at the skylight in our bathroom and seeing two leafs that landed on the window which fell into the shape of a perfect heart. I knew at that point that everything was going to be ok, and that I was about to have two perfectly healthy baby girls. But I couldn’t have imagined how obsessed and in love I would be after one year with them. It’s scary how fast it’s going, how smart they are becoming, and how grown up they seem already.
Here is Miss Hadley Faye at one year.
She Loves:
- Bath Time
- Dancing
- Reading
- Walking – She’s getting so quick too!
- Trying to get Mama’s Coffee every morning during playtime
Her favorite toys are:
- Magna Tiles
- Weebles
- Anything with music
- Her brothers train tracks
We have lots of nicknames for her:
- Haddo
- Miss Faye
- Haddie Cakes
- Nacho
- Hitachi
Her Favorite foods are: ritz crackers, cheese, bananas, bread
She has 4 teeth.
Can talk…I swear! She repeats our words when we least expect it.
She is the happiest baby whenever mama is holding her.
She likes to go for walks with her family
People always comment on her dimples and smile
She has “long” beautiful red hair
She always has a lot to say…she says Dada when she’s happy and Mama when she’s sad. Everyone says she looks just like me…and I don’t think that anyone has ever loved me more than Hadley does (and I’ll make sure to remind her of this when she’s a teenager). We love you so much, our sweet little bird. You have everyone wrapped around your little fingers.
Happy Birthday sweet babies…we made it one year. I’m not gonna say we thrived…but we survived. Thanks for being the best little babies we could have hoped for.
