Bluethroat

At last a male Bluethroat! As this bird is rarely seen out in the open I'm over the moon, to see him and take his portrait. This bird is a skulker, spending most of its life hidden away in the thick vegetation and although he has this impressive blue throat he is a master of camoflagued and so I nearly dropped my camera into the river today, as Mr. Bluethroat came out for a drink of water! The female is, I'm afraid rather plain, with no blue or rufous brown feathers.
