Hakuna Matata! squashed banana
Early breakfast on the roof of our hotel with the usual amazing views across the whole of Stone Town. Then met Ali our taxi driver who tooks us to airport. Boarded twin prop plane to dar then to Arusha where we were met by the Godfather of safari - Godfrey. He greeted us with a very warm Jambo and showed us to our jeep which was mega to say the least. We both climbed into our 10 seater jeep grinning like small children with excitement of the days ahead on Safari.
We drove for about an hour and then stopped for our first 'picnic' lunch at this gallery full of thousands of ebony carvings.
We continued on, as the rains began, so stopped briefly at Lake Manyara to take in the amazing views. Soon after we saw a family of Baboons which was our first small take of the wildlife rollar-coaster ahead. By early evening we arrived at our accomodation for the evening, Gibbs Farm. It was totally stunning and the cottage (Mulbery) we stayed in definately is a contender as being the most indulgent place for the mega moon. Before dinner we took a walk to the small waterfall and had a tour of the coffee plantation, followed by a very interesting tour of the vegetable farm.
Had a lovely bath....as there was a lovely bath there and went for dinner. Quite surprised by the apprearance of Heinz Tomato soup on the menu in an organic farm...
Returned to our room and the honeymoon faries had filled the bath with fresh flowers and had left cookies and Amarula....love it!
