Spaceman...

I always wanted you to go into space.. man

It was a tricky day at work; it got a bit heated especially when I was asked to be in two places at once. I'm a decent librarian but I'm not a fucking magic librarian. I got sent to the boss to 'discuss' it.

Sigh.

I spent my lunch hour visiting every shop in Oldham searching for an astronaut costume for Eve's assembly. I thought it would be easy...no, not ONE to be found.
I found an 'army hat n violent bits' set in Poundland and thought I can transform this!

I couldn't. I tried painting it..sticking NASA on it but still.... it was a disgrace.

A crime against craftanity.

But on the plus side Eve thought that the cheap plastic grenade that came with the army hat was ACE. She asked what it was.."A peacekeeping item" I replied.
I did succeed in giving Eve a 'Five little men in a flying saucer' glove and an astronaut top*

*a long sleeved white top with numerous printed out and glued on NASA logos.
I'm writing this on the day of the assembly. She looked brilliant, she sounded brilliant.

So proud of her.
