The Long Paddock
Well today is our second last day on the road and we're now nudging towards the 12,000 km mark on the trip meter. We were driving from Hay towards West Wyalong on an area known as the Hay Plains. We couldn't quite work out what we were seeing until we got a lot closer and then we realised there were thousands of sheep all walking in the same direction along the grasses on the side of the road. There is no way of knowing exactly how many but it was an amazing sight to see.
I've added two additional images. Another of the sheep in what is known in Australia as "The Long Paddock" where animals can graze freely and may have come from hundred of miles away to be able to feed. The other was taken about and hour out of Cowra our resting spot for tonight. It just shows the incredible contrast that we experienced today.
It's hard to believe that it's just on three months since we left Wombat Hollow. What a journey we've had and one full of emotion as well. I know that many of my blip buddies have been along for the ride and I've loved your comments on a daily basis. It has given me lots of energy to try and blip my little heart out each day. Next time we'll have to let you know well in advance and take a "Big Bus" along with "MiniMo" and you can all hop on board. Now wouldn't that be a blip meet to write home about :-)
