Dinner in Soho at Hix for my partner's birthday. We don't often have dessert but pushed the boat out and were super impressed when this arrived for him as I had forgotten I'd mentioned in the online booking form a month ago that the meal was to celebrate his birthday. Well done Hix! We then went on to Ronnie Scott's , where the birthday boy was bowled over by the artist Jose James. Phew.
