Big Debate

The train chaos from yesterday continued today. My boss, up from London, got as far as Berwick yesterday, en route to Newcastle, before being returned to Edinburgh and struggling for a hotel room. This morning he tried and failed to get on a Virgin train to Birmingham and ended up queuing at Glasgow Central for a west coast train. Bet he's looking forward to a quiet week-end. #3 son, on day 3 in customer services fopr east coast at Wav erleyt had a .... challenging day and appeared on the BBC news. I missed it!

I had my own media event, in the audience for Brian Taylor's Big Debate from the Canongate Church. It was the second time I've been at that and for the second time Brian Taylor wasn't there. Today he was preparing for the TV's 'Big Debate' this evening. The topics in the Canongate were predictable - banking scandals, trams, independence and, less predictably, what theme songs should the two sides on the referendum debate have.
