Anyone looking for a couple of karate shin pads and a white/orange belt for a seven-year old?

Well these will be available to bid for on ebay - along with whole lot of other unwanted items - later on tonight. Will is having a clear out. It's all going on ebay as soon as he can manage it.

The ebay world is a strange sort of sub-culture. You can get to know some really nice people who become part of your life for a while. You want to get rid - and they want to buy. You are looking to get as much as you can and they are looking for a bargain. You meet somewhere in the middle and usually everyone is happy.

He's had some real successes too. He's sold a couple of cars, lots of redundant camera equipment, walking boots, books, wetsuits, cycle helmets, waterproofs - the list goes on and on. The weirdest thing I think was a pair of rubber swimming flippers - to someone in Australia.

I have no doubt that by the time the bidding closes in a few days time - these will be on their way to some other part of the country to start another life with somebody new ...................................
