O'Kains Bay, New Zealand

We arrived extremely car sick, but so happy to be here. Away from hustle and bustle, and into the peace I hope this blip provokes, we landed early enough to secure the best darn plot of land of the entire camp site. At the border of the beach and a quick walk to the river that spills into it, we felt quite separated from the rest of the 500 or so campers that quickly filled the park.

Speaking of, the new managers of the park have planned an extreme makeover involving the removal of the spectacular pine trees that grace the park and replacing with native plants. I just know this is a mistake.
