Pretty little thing..

.. with the advantage that there are loads of them about to look at. Even better there are a couple of rarer species that are pretty similar and lurk about in  the flocks of the commoner species - if you can be bothered to sift through the flocks.
This particular Golden Plover was closer to the road that most of its flock making it easier to photograph. This close the colours do come out - in the distance they can appear drab. In a funny way though there are also pretty camouflaged.
