Saved by the Granddaughter.
Just when I thought the Christmas cacti were going to feature heavily in today's blip, given that I haven't put a foot out of the door today because of social commitments, in pops #1 granddaughter to become the Blip face of Tuesday.
She was in Edinburgh for the night and intending to paint the town red with one of her friends from Stirling University.
We chatted over coffee and the remains of the big birthday cake, which I had especially saved for her from the jaws of his Lordship, a feat made easier by that one small division on the bathroom scales which meant the difference between a hefty slice of cake for him and none at all.
The morning saw a debriefing of a cycling friend recently returned from holiday in California. It was lovely to look at photos of places HL and I had visited not so long ago and in the sun, when outside the windows the sky was gradually falling earthwards and rain, the precursor of storm Bernie, was gathering momentum.
You may get the cacti tomorrow, so be prepared!
