Ness Point

Stormy weather in the bay. That's a surfer out in the sea, off Ness Point in St Mags Bays. I've added a couple of extras.

When I used to bodyboard there was always that moment of anticipation before you dove under a wave to get 'out back' into calmer waters. Never knowing what monster wave might lie behind the one you could see. Breathe, dive. Breathe, dive. And hopefully make it. But sometimes I would just get smashed and washed in like a bit of wrack, clinging to my board, gasping. And then have to do it all over again.

Up on the North Downs the wind was really pushing had from the SW. Scudding clouds and fast-changing light. Fantastic. The car rocking.

I picked up a free load of horse muck on the way back from taking a paper to John. Who says fortune doesn't favour the brave :-).
