Brandenburg

"vacant or in pensive mood' sort of described it this afternoon.  Dark and dull, the weather too!    

Tried Herbert, Donne, Burns, and Shakespeare.    (Now there's a mixed bag.)  So dozed off instead.   And woke to find Classic FM belting out Brandenburg (5!).     You can't be vacant or pensive in the presence of harnessed joy, energy, hope.   God bless Bach.    Karl Barth said "whether the angels play only Bach in their praise of God, I am not quite sure."   William Buckley's view was "If Bach is not in Heaven.....I am not going!"
