Lull before the Storm

Ella was awake by 6.45 so it has been a long day. The wind was too strong for the park, so we went to the Parish Hall to make lanterns in aid of the village Christmas lights appeal. Ella decorated her lantern with some tissue circles, while Nathaniel used his as a football. Then we bought a couple of Magic Painting books to do later.

Here they are playing nicely with the dolls house Mr C made for #1 daughter over 40 years ago, and refurbished for the grandchildren. He put the Gaga to bed then told him to get up for breakfast. This was repeated many times.

We'd intended to go to Cragside for the zip wire but it got too wet, so it has been play doh, cars, and colouring.

Tomorrow it will be an early start to get Ella to Jesmond Swimming Pool for her lesson at 10am. No doubt they'll want to sleep late!
