St Jacob's farmers market
Blustery day at St Jacobs market, we were here several weeks ago but the evergreen outdoor holiday arrangements were not available yet so we had to come back. We thought it would be fun to take our Edinburgh cousins. We had a great day, enjoyed a fabulous lunch and bought all our ingredients for dinner. Most notable was the loaf of beet bread, bright red and delicious! This picture is of hazelh purchasing apple butter from Onias, a Mennonite merchant. I also bought some of his butter and a litre of maple syrup. We enjoyed our conversation with Onias about his horse and buggy. Home for a delicious dinner. I then went off to yoga and spin class while the other 3 remained home and tested the wine we purchased at Niagara on the lake.
