'Ere, 'Oo you calling ugly?

While checking the progress of the cygnets and ducklings on the pond near FD55's old flat, we found three lovely cygnets being guarded by two very attentive parents. (I got pecked!) Those cygnets were not at all put out and waddled up the banking to see if we had brought anything edible for them. As nothing was forthcoming, they quickly slipped and slithered back down the slope and into the water again.
Good news too on the roadworks front. All is done and dusted, signs and traffic lights away and normal service resumed. Job for this evening will be to brush the worst of the tar chips off the pavement, maybe with a detergent solution to help dispose of some oil spillage.
We were supposed to be suffering under a monsoon this afternoon but it has not, as yet, happened. Am I disappointed? Guess?
