Founders House
Day 2 of our jet trip experience to the Group HQ in Denmark and we had no broken arrows from last night which was a relief.
Everyone made it to breakfast this morning. We were picked up and departed Frisholt to tour the Electronics Factories followed by the foundry aluminium die cast factory.
Then we enjoyed lunch at Pilevej with one of the chairmen of the board and met our CEO.
After lunch we visited the founders original house which has been restored to all its former glory from 1963 as a tribute to where he started the business all those years ago.
It was quite a humbling experience to hear the family history and how they started and became a £2.5 billion global company in 2015.
After this we had one more factory tour before saying our goodbyes, leaving some Scottish shortbread gifts for selected colleagues and jumping on the company jet at Karup airport back to Edinburgh.
A fantastic trip and one which was very well received by our guests.
The photo is from outside the founders house which also doubles as the families place of business all those years ago and looks like how it did back then.
